Regularly changing your password is an important security practice. Here's how to update your MT5 trading password.
Via Client Portal
Log in to your FXNX Client Portal, go to your trading account settings, and select 'Change Password'. Enter your current password and choose a new one.
Password Requirements
Your new password must be at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. Avoid easily guessable information.
Master vs Investor Password
MT5 has two password types: Master password for full trading access, and Investor password for read-only monitoring. Change each separately as needed.
After Changing
Update your password in all MT5 applications (desktop, mobile, web) after changing. Old sessions will be disconnected automatically.
Store your new password securely. Consider using a password manager. If you forget your password, use the recovery process.
